Top 13 Funniest Series.

All series that start off hillarious & then dramatically switch to drama such as Fruits Baket, Saiyuki, & Trigun are excluded.

1)Slayers.

2)Excel Saga.

3)Gokudo.

4)DiGi Charat.

5)Colorful.

6)Bakuretsu Hunters (Sorcerer Hunters)

7)Azumanga Daiou.

8)Shinesman (yeah, it's an OAV, but it's REALLY funny, but only in English)

9)Martian Successor Nadesico.

10)Jubei-Chan.

11)Master of Mosquiton. (another OAV that's funnier in English)

12)Lost Universe (the English version kills the humor)

13)Dragon Half. ('nother OAV)

*Everyone says Golden Boy is one of the funniest. Most of the time it's just too mellow. It won't hold much appeal for women other than eye-rolling. The same can be said for MAZE.

New is Certianly Not Better. (a rant)

Why Digital is NOT better than analog)

1)Okey, so say you're not going to be home to watch GTO or Detective Konan. One station shows it's anime in digital & the other in analog. You tape em both & the digital one shows up in poor quality on your tapes like a bad scan with rainbows.

2)Showtime is the worst with this; analog may have volume problems, but digital not only pixelates in large visible squares, but it also has difficulty with showing black. Maybe you haven't noticed because you don't pay attention to annoying details like I was trained to do in art school, but maybe now you will. Oh yeah, digital also likes to refresh slowly at times, glitches, & the quality is effected by weather via satelite, cable, or digital cable.

Why 3D sucks:

1)A problem that Vanguard shares with Van Helsing (the movie, not the anime)3D would look less crappy in movies if it moved in real time. 3D always moves 3 times faster than it should & makes it look phoney. 3D artists are only concerned with visual realism & don't calculate how long it would take a Mobile Suit to punch something in zero gravity.

2)3D looks like shit with cell animation. I couldn't even get through Zoids without critisizing how poorly the realistic fast moving machines clashed with the slow moving outlined 2D animation. Look how poorly the 3D special effects clash & ruin the image of Saiyuki & Vanguard. (remember those chunky cheap looking explosions?) All they need to do is put black outlines on the #D & lower the speed at which it moves & there would be harmony.

3)3D video games are harder to play & cause more eye strain. Eye strain leads to headaches. & who didn't get dizzy when Sonic 3D Blast first came out? If you suck at 2D games, don't touch this stuff.

GRAVITATION.

I like this series. I've read fan translations & think Tokyopo did a grat translation job. While I didlike all the American pop culture reference they added for replacement, at least the funnier-than-original text makes up for it.

The anime was okey, but I like the manga better. I loved the music & bought one of the soundtracks.

Maki Murakami left hte book unfinished at tankouban 12. Like Mamiya Oki, she'll probably get around to it latter & not abandon it like Aoike Yasuko did with Ibu no Musukotachi (It was my most favorite;_;) But I degress....

Lots of fans know all about Crocodile Ave.'s Remix Gravitation series. What they are is OFFICIAL because Murakami sensei made them. It's not unusual for a mangaka to make doujinshi on their own series; Mamiya Oki & Minami Ozaki are notorious for it (if you didn't know, Ozaki is 'still' writing Bronze) The Remix series contains all the stuff she had in the back of her mind & all the stuff her publishers woulnt let her get away with. (maybe she should have chosen Biblos instead of Gentosha)It's ammusing how much she loves to slash brothers^.^ A pitty there weren't any Ryuichi-Shuichi pairings-.- & K goes after Hiro twice :p K looks like a blonde version of Koinosuke from Jubei-chan to me.

I've read hundreds of BL mangas (& collect 70's shounenai) & if not for the humor I'd probably just pass this off as another drama beause of the circumstances of the relationship. I don't know how it's going to end when Murakami decided to fishish, but I hope Hiro gets Shuichi Touma gets Yuki.

I used to think that Yuki was very plain looking & needed to grow some hair, but by book 6 I noticed a dramatic imprvement in the art (humerous as Murakami claims to hate drawing) Frankly by 6, EVERYONE looks better, even Sakano looks kind of cute. Hiro & K are still the prettiest, but Yuki has lovely eyes & Shuichi is a thousan times cuter with his new hair style.

Overall, the show is hillarious & you end up feeling extremely embarrased by everyhting that goes on. lol^o^
